i just got my plane ticket today, and i'm flying on the 17th of january. right now all i can think of is how my family are going to celebrate chinese new year without me, how i won't be there to have a proper reunion dinner with my relatives, and how i'm going to miss most of my friends' birthdays. heck, i'll even be missing my own birthday i reckon. that's a tad offputting, but then again, the uni syllabus calls. all i can do is hope that everything goes right come february 4th *hint hint, haha...*

maybe it's because i'm an aquarius (可惜我是水瓶座) that i'm like that. i've always wondered whether your day of birth actually determines the character traits you eventually possess. i mean, that's the way horoscopes work right? and it's pretty amazing how some people can follow their horoscopes to within an inch of their lives, unquestioningly. maybe it's me, but i've always been so cynical about things like that, especially paragraphs that say 'you will cross water soon'. i mean, yeah, if you call jumping over a puddle crossing water. *petitions sky* such ballpark accuracy, indeed. the western horoscopes seem like a walk in the park though, before you even consider the intricacy of the chinese ones.

i'm down with a half-hearted flu at the moment, even though the weather is burning hot. i guess it's the humidity that does it, but that's about the deepest i'm going to speculate. guess i'll go get some books from my pal renu before the day wears too long.

what am i talking about, it's only 11 in the morning... looks like my body clock is totally out of whack.
