and during the night, it snowed. or frosted really hard. today i woke up to a fine layer of snow covering the ground and random snowflakes here and there drifting down softly to the ground. now, boys and girls, that would have been a picture perfect scene if i had been indoors, in front of a heater turned on full with bedroom slippers on my feet, but no such luck. there was a 9 o'clock lecture to go to, which may or may not have been the stuff that champions are made of. add that to wearing shoes with virtually no traction and winds that quite literally have a life of their own. after slipping and sliding through the now semi-melted snow, made my way to the lecture along with the other half a faculty who had bothered to wake up in time for the furtherment of our academic futures only to find that the lecture had been cancelled.

oh whoop with joy, to think that i was actually looking forward to it. there's going to be hell to pay when the end of the academic year comes and we've missed so many lectures.

in other news, the day comes as a shock to me as the realisation that the tort essay is due has been hanging heavy on my mind. there is no explanation for this, except maybe for the fact that my essay is definitely not going to be the one teacher holds high going 'look class, tanya has done well'. no. so much for working independently, i can do that, but thing is, how come i'm never confident about the work i put out? all i can do now is sit tight in my chair and pray for a miracle, methinks.

there was this hilarious show last night called darkplace. it defies all forms of explanation. it is so not funny, its funny. oh, and on the website it says "Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace was originally filmed in the 1980s and has since earned a cult reputation as one of the most terrifying and radical television programmes ever made." do not be fooled.
