the week has taken a turn for the better. spent a day out in the cold with the renuster (sorry i grabbed that off lex on friendster) and faz in town today, and despite certain jelly-leg inducing events, such as *coughs profusely*, yeah, that one, i managed to get through with lots of laughs and giggles. to be frank, the cloud induced by last weekend seems to have lifted itself somewhat. yay?

sorry, going to indulge in a bit of body bother here. went into the boot shop to try on the boots that i had been contemplating since the land before time, but turns out they erm, weren't such a snug fit (au contraire, too snug, i think) because the boots were unable to accomodate mademoiselle's calves. yes, calves. baby cows. *wince* blame durham. blame walking. i thought about making my calves smaller before, but i realised that if i did, then the only way to do that would be to stop walking, which would be bad because firstly i wouldn't get anywhere, and secondly, the muscles would just turn to fat, as they so cruelly do. so what's a girl to do, i cry. probably nothing, and get over it and get on with life.

faz was ahead today when i met her after lecture. she knows what i'm talking about, and we started counting. i think she might well be the successor to the title of 'person who counts the best' because i think, i think she was in the lead for the longest time today. i should start counting for her as well man, this girl is one to watch i must say.

things have gotten better, especially when on the bridge. i think that was a smile that came my way, although i'm not sure. that should be something to be happy about. another thing to be happy about is that the one and only lecture next week wednesday has been cancelled! *the crowd goes wild* metro centre here we come man, the angels are coming to town... sadness of life, we have, but it's the only thing we can hold on to, ain't it?
