just read kz's blog admonishing the evils of being two-faced hypocrites in singapore who refuse to acknowledge the fact that, despite genetic evolution, some of those among us are (shock, horror) not black, if you know what i'm talking about. but less of that, although what he did write about was a very gripping read.

advertisements aside though, last night was girlie night in for faz and myself, and the conviction with which we sat down and munched indeterminate amounts of junk food until we were as *hand punching triumphantly into air action* fat as cupid while watching charlie "abs" hunnam and the other motley characters in nicholas nickleby (jamie bell! jamie bell!) and the royal tenenbaums, who make the family guy look normal. it was a good night in, and, not for lack of invitation, but rather for want of friend bonding time, i found myself in mary's for the first valentine's day ever spent away from home, watching movies and talking rubbish with faz. i have my doubts as to whether all that nosh yesterday might have affected faz's plan for fatless february somewhat though. sorry faz. *siiiiiiiiiii's sheepish look*

the only downside was that, in true tanya fashion, i forgot to bring my glasses along with me when i came to stay over. this has happened almost every time i come over to stay at mary's, and it involves me being contact-lensed till the very last minute when my tired eyes can take it no more and i have to pop the offending buggers out. no problem there, just the problem with me usually ending up stubbing my toe against an unfamiliar table in an unfamiliar room. ouch. as we speak i squint at the computer screen trying to see what i'm typing because i can't see properly.

i have hereby banned the word "audacity" from my vocabulary.
