Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece. ~ Filipenses 4:13, Nueva Version Internacional

sunlight streams through the huge glass windows, illuminating the high arched ceiling of the room, with the bright blue sky in the background. relax, breathe. this isn't the start of some cheesy novel, but rather the scene that is taking place right now as we speak. the sunlight is deceptively misleading of the extreme cold outside though, and this unprecedented burst of radiance seems to lift the angry clouds of grey that were looming dangerously low on the horizon just hours ago.

we found out that the library opens at 2pm. this is what happens when you skip your library tours at the beginning of the school year and end up not knowing when the place opens and when it closes. beats me how much else we don't know about this place. the channeling (re: 'a' level geography) effect was especially strong up palace green and turns out the high wind speed managed to make us have a lesser degree of balance when it came to trekking up the little slope that led to the library. not very fun to have the wind pushing you around, so to speak.

i have to confess an unhealthy addiction to crossword puzzles of late, and of trying to beat the computer at www.guessthename.com, where there within lurks a program that really messes with your mind. the first time we played the game, faz and i were practically screaming at it to stop messing with our minds. that kind of reminded me of chris in everyone's favourite cartoon, "family guy".

chris: meg, what word am i thinking of? and it's not "cheese"!

meg: let me guess: cheese?

chris: AGHHH! get outta my head!

i often wonder how long it takes for people to grow up.
