don't stop the music*
Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece. ~ Filipenses 4:13, Nueva Version Internacional

our inner trancers were satisfied (kinda) when we all headed off out last night. it was interesting, to say the least, but nothing really fantastic though. for some reason almost everyone there was totally intoxicated with alcohol already so that meant that most of our night was spent fighting off the strange guys who randomly came up to us and started dancing, in a last ditch, desperate attempt to pull, apparently. *throws everyone who can relate bemused looks* there was this one guy who was within spitting distance of us for the longest time, just looking totally spaced out and wrong. like, give us some personal space already man. that was highly annoying.

theo was there, with his adorable tie featuring teddy bears and wellies. oh and before i forget, this is a public service announcement: martin what have you been telling theo about me being the wily one? *hrm* sorry i forget myself. that aside though, the night was good despite the random pervs and strange behaviour. that's what you can expect on a girls' night out i suppose.

some people last night went there alone, which is a theory that exists beyond the four corners of my mind. and there was this extremely amusing conversation that went on behind us in the cloakroom queue, although i shan't go into what it was about. *chuckles* at the end of the day just shake your head from side and side and hazard a giggle at the interestingness of this world.

it was a laugh, planet of sound, and there were some people who took it quite seriously, which was fun to watch, besides the random bopping to the trance and *cough*techno*cough*. it was a night for seeing random objects of affection (though not mine). faz managed to catch sight of *name withheld* who was gyrating to the pumping bass beats in a very interesting manner. renu managed a glimpse here and there of the much-beloved ginger, who a) had problems coordinating limbs (to be honest ok, renu!) and b) was getting felt up by some random girl. ooh, nasty. i wouldn't enjoy that if my... right, no more about that.

the mantra is that it isn't the music that makes things enjoyable, it's the company that makes the night worthwhile, and it is true. to be honest, going out twice in a week is not very healthy, but hey, it was good fun. without the drunken bawdiness of course. it's a wonder what kinds of things you can see when you're sober and everyone around you (almost) is drunk. the dj kept on shouting random things into the mike like 'let me hear you shout for *insert college name here*!!' it was a good way of getting the crowd into the atmosphere of things, along with the quite cool green light, and interestingly enough, there was rather a good time to be had, despite being with the veritable scum of the university at some points in time. next time i'll stick to parental advisory.

on a more thoughtful note: work needs to be done today.
