i nicked it off some site. how true.

"We all know males and females act differently and think differently. However, to what extent, we never seem to find out. There are even books like Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus published in attempt to fully explain the mysteries of the sexes. Does it help? Who knows? (I've only read the first 3 pages of that book.) The only thing I know is that, even after the publication of that book, misunderstanding between the genders still exists.

For example when my mother says "There's no milk in the fridge," to my dad, she actually means "Go get some milk from the supermarket." Of course my dad doesn't know the secrets of the female language and continues to watch the baseball game. Even when my mom is screaming, "THERE'S NO MILK IN THE FRIDGE!" my dad stares blankly probably wondering if his wife is crazy. The weird thing is, the next morning when my dad opens the fridge he goes, "Why, there’s no milk!"

I think even in dating, the problems arise mostly from miscommunications and the way we act. From my observation, a girl's biggest worry is: Is he serious or is he just playing around? We never seem to judge guys correctly and usually, by the time we find out the truth it's too late, and once again we find ourselves with a tub of ice cream watching some sappy movie and crying over the crappiness of our love lives. We vow never to let a guy play around with us or dump a guy that turned out to be great, but for some reason, it keeps happening. Again and again and again and again. . . When you ask someone to translate a guy's mysterious actions, they say, "If you really like him, go talk to him and tell him how much he means to you." Well that's downright stupid.

Reasons:
1. If he doesn't like you and you tell him how much you like him, he will just brag to his friends about how desperate you are.

2. If he's ignoring your calls and avoiding contact, if you try to track him down to express your love, you will be labeled a "stalker." (I mean, don't we do the same?)

3. What if you get rejected?

I think we girls go through a constant cycle:
I don't like guys my age.
I'll go for older guys.
I don't like older guys, they expect so much from you.
I'll go for younger guys.
I don't like younger guys, they're too immature.
I don't need guys.
When there are no guys, we turn to shoes.

Well, I do anyway.

But then we find ourselves searching for a boyfriend sooner or later (or a wardrobe filled with shoes). In the end we realize that sometimes age is not the factor that destroys friendships or relationships. It can just be plain misunderstanding."
