don't stop the music*
Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece. ~ Filipenses 4:13, Nueva Version Internacional

as i sit in the computer room, surrounded by close to maybe 50 computers, all occupied (there are people queuing for a place), all i hear is the incessant click and tap of those computers as people make their time in the library useful by logging on to the ever-helpful school network. this kind of reminds me of the golden duo who make their time in lecture useful as well by typing incessantly, one with a faulty keyboard, the other with long maroon-coloured nails that would probably slash her wrists if she made a sudden fist. don't laugh, i've been there before. there is currently a paradox taking shape here: the quietness of the computer room punctuated with the sounds of keyboards clicking away, especially the shifty 'space' key, (not to mention the spacey 'shift' key. ha ha) it's noisy quietness, but that's bordering on an oxymoron, so i'll stop there.

the day has dawned bright and sunny, promising to be more er... promising than the day before. for one thing, i woke up this morning and realised that the air outside actually smelt nice. lots better than the suffocating black hole yesterday that threatened to eat through our clothes and worm its way up our nostrils every time we took a breath. if i see those two again, i'll recommend them a shower and maybe a one-way space shuttle trip to the planet borg.

anyway, today has been interesting, despite the fact that the girl sitting opposite me keeps on whipping out her m.a.c. lipgloss and swiping it over her lips, then returning to the computer. i must confess that i wouldn't like to be the next one to use that computer. there must be glossy gloop all over it. besides, it's the computer room, who are you trying to seduce? the computer? no one else will see you because your face is towards the screen most times, and the calibre of guys you get in the computer room aren't really the creme de la creme, if you know what i mean.

the tutorial that i had with widdy was nice. in fact, nicer than usual today. this is regardless of the fact that i didn't really do much preparation for it. in fact, i spent most of last night curled up in bed with the agatha christie book i bought in the indoor market. yes, sad but true. i wish i could say that i had a fantastic time, discoballs and glitter all, but no. there is no such thing as the ideal life of a student, seeing that most if not all students spend their time either eating, sleeping, walking, bathing, doing the laundry, playing computer games like pac-man, watching telly, making fun of each other, reading and working. not necessarily in that order. there is nothing better than staying in and not bothering with anyone else and just immersing yourself in a good book. or alternatively, playing the sims. but you didn't hear that from me.
