this, ladies and gentlemen (i don't even know how many people find their way to my blog), is the face behind the writing. just in case people wanted to know.

cut me some slack ok, i'm bored and i don't know what to do with myself!

we watched some three movies last night, the best one being monty python and the holy grail. we were going ballistic at the sight of the wrongness of it all -- and all filmed way back in 1974 too! this is english humour at its best, people, so go see if you can get your hands on a copy. and after you watch it, the phrase " Shh! We are now the Knights Who Say 'Ecky- ecky- ecky- ecky- pikang- zoop- boing- goodem- zoo- owli- zhiv'." will mean something to you. trust me, i know these things. ;)

i think the other one that was good was bright young things, the movie based on vile bodies! a book close to my heart because i was bound hadn and foot to it during the time i was studying for the 's' level lit paper. of course, my book always ended up being called 'blithe spirits', by some cruel twist of fate, but it made me really start to appreciate evelyn waugh's work. seriously, he (yes, he) is one of the most fantastic writers the world has ever produced. the movie wasn't really true the book (i should know) but it was good all the same. i really enjoyed miles's character when fleshed out -- he was a proper jackie! (as in, jackie in will and grace) see the film. very, very good.

going to library later to get some books out on some of the subjects i'm going to have to do next year. this is being overly-optimistic in the hopes that i will actually be able to transfer these positive thoughts to my grades themselves and i will pass smoothly through from this academic year to the next without a hitch. it's all about the karma y'know...
