back from london folks!

the time there was quite nice, save for the drizzle that persisted throughout the two days (and a bit) while we were there. oh, and the crowds, the crowds, as the olympic torch was passing through oxford street, and the whole world and their dog had made it their life's mission to see the darnded thing (and maybe tim henman) and prevent me from shopping *grrr* now that is a big sin. big sin... just kidding. :)

everyone's seen the same-ol' lame-ol' pictures of london so onward we move, to the twiddly bits that we managed to see with our own slightly skewed viewpoints. the travel photographs, we leave to the pros (and the senior citizens) to figure out.

my family (minus dad). ok, so i cheated. this was taken along the bailey in durham.

the rainbow outside our hotel room window -- thanks to the aforementioned rain.

and now, we have the london eye, contrasted with: thorton's eye.

this shop in chinatown is still here after three years! pretty good seeing how the shops to the left and right of it have become a massage parlour and "adult" shop respectively. *aherrrrm*

this experiment took place because my dad said that no matter how much sugar you add to chinese tea, it will have no change in taste. so we did. oh boy was he wrong.

now, what with us being in england and all, you would think that some people would learn how to spell 'premises' properly...

and what the heck are 'screwballs', pray tell?

this, i'm afraid, was a picture taken because my brother had itchy hands. very itchy hands. sorry to all the proud brass-rubbers in the country.

well, that's about all i have to show for my two days in london. a job (quite) well done.
