today was one hell of a wild goose chase.

well, not exactly. i just use the phrase loosely. to be quite frank, the day started at about ten, walking up and down the cobbled streets of durham trying to get things done for the isa and the singapore society. i quite enjoyed it, but still, walking up and down does get to you after a while, especially when the sun gets so hot it threatens to kill you or something. you know, the average day in durham, that sort of thing.

what really irritated me was the its registration thing that i had to do later in the afternoon. turns out that i went to the helpdesk yeah, sent in the form, and the lady took one look at it without saying a word, saying "that's the wrong signature." to be quite frank, that was not what i wanted to hear after mooching around town for the past half a day, because it meant that i would have to go back down to the union and get the signature from one of the two people whose names i had never even heard of before, and basically make my way back to the its helpdesk again after all that to let her see the form and decide if she was satisfied with it. oh joy.

yeah, so that was it really. right now i just can't be bothered to say anything more about it, save that i managed to do that, and kudos go to my parents, for being there to drive me around and basically making my life that much easier.

the other thing that we had to endure today was getting results. gosh, i am never going back to elvet riverside for results again. wait, scratch that. i am never going anywhere in person to get my results ever again. hmph, so there.

enough about the grumbling though. in a couple days i'm off to london, land of the beefeater and the queen, someplace that i haven't been in ages. i don't foresee any earth-shakes, but it'll be nice to experience something different from durham life.

forgive the relative mundanity of this post. i promise i'll get something interesting up soon.
