today has been a nice day. i spent the morning sitting in bed reading books. that's life for you. of course i had to get up halfway to brush my hair and all that, but that's inconsequential. oh, and to open my windows so as to facilitate some movement of air in my room. yeah, but that's all good. i like it when days blend together like that. almost makes me feel like i'm at home -- without the family, which kind of annoys me, but it comes close enough.

anyhow, aidan's is having a beer festival something or other today. i guess it's an ok idea, and lester gave me a ring just now to ask me to come down. truth is though, i don't really drink the stuff, and anyhow, the thought of having to face drunken hordes at 4 in the afternoon isn't really my cup of tea. so, i might just give that a pass.

hannah and nat are going for singapore idol! i knew those two had it in them. to be fair, between them they own two of the best voices i've ever heard off this island, so it's only right that they get a chance to showcase it. the other day i just realised how out of practice i am. i haven't sung properly in over a year... shocking. to think that not too long ago i ate, drank, slept, thought music.

i like the way he says my name. it's only for a second, but makes me feel like i'm the only girl in the room. there can't be anything better than that.
