i'm actually quite pleased with the way things turned out today. for a start, i managed to get up obscenely late because i spent last night attending singapore society elections and playing monopoly and... well. i get ahead of myself.

first, the sing soc elections. oh joy and jubilation, now all of us have gotten a place on the exec! faz got secretary, which was expected because everyone kind of knew that she would just inherit will's position, renu remained as treasurer, to which i'm more than assured that she'll be able to handle, and somehow both of them managed to plug me for vp, which wasn't much of a problem, seeing as they made me seem like such a nice person... my eyes water when i think about that. :) yep, so that was elections. and there was nice(ish) food as well at china joe's. mental note: do not take my parents within a fifty mile radius of that place -- it is so not authentic. but hey, any chinese food was enough to make me feel like i was experiencing a small piece of home.

after that we headed on to the peanutheads' house to play monopoly, which renu managed to win, through lots of smarts and some luck, and the rest of us just had some kind of long drawn out torture -- not that i don't enjoy monopoly of course, just that it wasn't the best time of night to play it, but i loved it just the same.

following that i was itchy-handed and decided to call my parents. miss my family so much, and somehow it seems like a long lifetime before i see them again. counting down the days...

today was a lovely day. basically it started with the waking up obscenely late because i only got to bed at about three, seeing that the game of monopoly took ages to finish, (renu is the real businesswoman. she amassed a fortune in monopoly money) and made my way to the station to meet faz -- for newcastle! had lunch at nando's, which was a nice experience. i liked the chicken there. *mmmmm*

after that -- shopping!

it was a proper girlie day, with ice-cream on top. a wonderful wonderful day, which was well-spent, and i enjoyed it immensely. :)

the meepit dropped by in the evening to say hi, and managed to jaw on about virtually everything. he's cool though, but i can't help but think about what faz was saying yesterday...

oh well, that's the end of it for today.

and just a few for the road...
