right, so that's the end of a lot of things.

well the reason why the blog has been relatively stagnant lately is because my laptop got infected with one of those whatchamacallit viruses that quite frankly, anger me quite a lot. that, plus the fact that work has started, and most days i'm just too tired to do much else save for bathe, change into my pjs and tumble into bed.

yep, that's the old stamina for you.

the nails have just been painted a bright crimson. all in time for the nation's birthday and all, y'know. :) nah, nothing of the sort. i suppose it was a coincidence, is all.

i missed the national day parade, but i watched singapore idol. i guess that is a pretty clear indication of where my loyalties, but wahey, who really cares about that? singapore idol was a comedy in itself, where the confident but untalented make complete fools of themselves in front of the nation. my blessings go out to all who remain unrepentant, but then again, come to think of it, there were quite a few peeps who had potential. the fact that a few people i know participated in the auditions is besides the point. people like the whacko who stripped in front of the cameras deserve to be sent to coventry, but then again that's just my short fuse speaking. other than that, the show was a good indication of the kind of people we have in singapore and how well we live up to the phrase 'shy and retiring'. a taster of things to come then.

been reading robert rankin's armageddon trilogy. for some reason i seem to always manage to saddle myself with books that satirize the whole notion of apocalyptic events i.e. armageddon, the second coming, religion, mankind, talking dogs etc. i think i should try and locate the radar located somewhere about my person that seems to attract such books to me, or me to such books. then again, what difference does it make? haha... not much, i don't think. all it does is give me a good laugh once in a while, especially on the mrt, which would probably explain the strange looks i get from the rest of the disgruntled commuters.

bleagh diggy diggy then.

righty, so that's the end of a lot of things. until next time compadres, hiho silver, and away.
