late night pasta. eating scrawny squid and trying to prise open mussel/cockle/shelly thing shells (*delete where necessary) while making your best effort to appear glam and composed. mental note: something to be worked on.

last night i knocked off for (i suspect) the last time at work. was back for a one-day stint before the reno, and so i was just there to lend a hand before the overhaul of the shop front. being a sunday, the shop was crowded, bursting at the seams, that sort of thing. the good news though, is that all that work is going to pay off, quite literally, on pay day. *hoho* the tanya is rich(ish) again.

spent some time trying to complete my crossword puzzle as well. it's quite tough, no thanks to my somewhat limited vocabulary... hrmph. as jess would say, simple joys for simple minds! haha... no worries, the cynical self-deprecating humour was an aspect of my character some five years ago. no more, no more. but i still have a problem completing my crossword. need help. only smart minds need apply. ;)

my mom commented that i'm happier these days. erm. i don't like loaded questions like that, but let's move on. later on i have a scheduled jamming session with myself. maybe the sounds of my guitar playing will drown out the errant playing of the kid playing (very elementary) violin two doors (i think) down. well, i suppose everyone needs to start somewhere. maybe one day this dude will be the male vanessa mae or something and when everyone's queuing for his concert tickets, i can say that he used to live one minute away from me when he was just a nobody. indeed.

aight then, back to burning the cd that i promised to for my daddy. that's me, daddy's girl and proud of it.
