me beaming at the camera while the lana chocolate (!!!!) cake experiences its last moments of being whole.

yes, the title picture of my birthday lunch yesterday. ok so it wasn't really my birthday -- in fact it's about five months away (approximately). but hey, any excuse to have a party, so i held it anyway. the company was wonderful, the food was not bad, and the setting was pretty posh. whatever it was, it was a nice time to savour precious moments with friends both new and old for some good fellowship. all this only makes me feel that it's going to be even more difficult to move to hongkong at the end of the year and leaving all these wonderful people behind.

to everyone who made the lunch a success yesterday, thanks for turning up and being that bright spark in my life. i really appreciated it. :)

zouk last night, and the usual crew turned up, some in ways more covert than others. drama ran high as the temperature rose on the dance floor. the adrenaline rush as the alcohol flows through the body, sending the mind into a whirl. coupled with the strobe lights and skin on skin contact, the whole clubbing experience is mind-blowing. not to mention that you sometimes get to see the uglier side of the human mindset, but that's not the point right now.

once again, another good night out in my preliminary recce of the local clubbing scene. good night out with good friends, and that made all the difference.
