Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece. ~ Filipenses 4:13, Nueva Version Internacional

right now i'm sitting up in the living room while renu is fast asleep next to me. the tv is on with one of the worst movies in history being shown. it's based on the legend of the journey to the west, and was obviously done in chinese, but has been dubbed in english -- all english colloquilisms and bad accents included. and the chinese nuns in the movie are all wearing habits. (what?!) this is sad to the max.

i wonder why there are such ugly people in this world who are able to stoop to any level in order to get what they want. is it true that kindness is not rewarded at all? i hate it when these peasants mistake kindness for weakness. sometimes i just sit and hope that these things will sort themselves out, but at the same time i know that if we want to get things done and move on from the problem that we are now facing, we'll have to take a stand and make something of it.

sometimes i hope these people go get stuffed.

fields of gold
you'll remember me when the west wind moves
upon the fields of barley
you'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
as we walk in fields of gold
so she took her love for to gaze awhile
upon the fields of barley
in his arms she fell as her hair came down
among the fields of gold

will you stay with me, will you be my love
among the fields of barley?
we'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
as we lie in fields of gold
see the west wind move like a lover so
upon the fields of barley
feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
among the fields of gold

i never made promises lightly
and there have been some that i've broken
but i swear in the days still left
we'll walk in fields of gold
we'll walk in fields of gold

many years have passed since those summer days
among the fields of barley
see the children run as the sun goes down
among the fields of gold
you'll remember me when the west wind moves
upon the fields of barley
you can tell the sun in his jealous sky
when we walked in fields of gold
when we walked in fields of gold
when we walked in fields of gold
