ok lah ok lah, here i am back again.

after being called a blogless chicken, i decided to wake up my ideas and get to grips with trying to blog again. :D

the days have been cold, windy, and quite bleak really, especially when outside the house. for some reason i can't believe that it's only been a week since i got back. it seems like i've been back ages... back to the usual struggle of work, work and more work. not that i've really done any since i got back though, of course.

the weather threatens to snow, or at least be very cold by the end of the month. that, coupled with the fact that i am on the brink (yes, the brink!) of turning all of 21 years of age in less than a month, makes me feel slightly strange. no, no tingly sensations or glorious epiphanies whatsoever, but the thought of actually being considered as an adult - i mean, officially, and also the dismal notion that every subsequent birthday i'll be having won't be as 'important' until that day when i hit the half a century mark, kinda bugs me actually.

oh no, the first blog post in over 10 days has finally degenerated into birthday musings. argh! anyhoot, last night as i was getting ready for bed, i decided that if i'm going to turn 21, there might as well be a checklist of things i should do.

ten things i should do once i'm 21

1) sort my education (nay, life) out
2) be nicer to people and small animals
3) learn to love myself
4) embark on more extensive restoration work on my 15 year old funshine bear
5) understand that consistency is the best policy
6) and that communication is the key
7) finish what i start
8) less lip gloss! less lip gloss!
9) take better care of my teeth (okay, overshare)
10) start working towards padding out my collection of terry pratchett books

that's right off the top of my head, so i'm not really sure whether there should be anything else i should consider. and anyway if you think about it there's only approximately another three weeks (being optimistic) till i become an adult, so i can't really make any big, earth-shaking plans just yet.

indeed.

there are men dressing up as women now on tv. the pain!
