today we went down to the assembly rooms to get some stuff sorted out for the isa ball in march. it went down alright, and to be honest, it finally allowed us to get stuff set in stone for some aspects that had previously remained quite fluid. what really made an impact was all the stuff we talked about over lunch at nando's following the meeting at the venue.

it really showed me how much we had bonded as a group. from knowing next to nothing about each other, today we had private in-jokes and knowing looks that didn't even require any explanation. these people have really grown on me from day one, and as i sat at the table looking at the five faces that were present today, i understood that so many things come to the people who get out there and just try. from working on our friendships to working together, we managed to overcome so many obstacles that had been present from the get-go. it made me realise that in everything we did, the requirement to be a team player was so integral to the successful running of things. that, and the need for a common goal.

with these people, i found that goal. together we made such beautiful memories that were the product of our own hard work. for some things there is need for humility, but when it comes to the isa i truly believe that we did the best job we could, and you know what, what we've achieved as a team so far has really impressed me. it made me believe in the power of teamwork again, cliched as it may seem, and made me some great friends as well. these are people whom i've truly come to love, and even though we might have our own little disagreements from time to time, i know at the end of the day that they really understand, care and, quite simply, bother about what goes on in each other's lives.

so although the ball means that i probably won't get the chance to work with them after our year as the exec is through, i know that i'll miss the good times, but at the same time i know that i've found some great friends who'll stick around through whatever life may bring.

cheers guys, it's been a short but exhilarating ride. nothing ever really ends, so i guess we'll be seeing each other in the very near future.
