the now-defunct blink 182 once sang a song about a first date. Boy and i had our first sit-down dinner date thingamajiggie yesterday, which was a bit of a milestone and quite exciting really.

the idea was to go to numjai for dinner, then by some fluke he managed to procure a brand-new copy of the incredibles for our viewing pleasure. only thing was, Boy managed to leave his mobile in the taxi in his haste to get to mine, which created some minor anxiety, but things soon sorted themselves out, albeit after numerous calls to his phone.

dinner was lovely, and we took a taxi to his after he retrieved said mobile. dyl and sam were mucho hyperactive when we got there, and were negotiating dizzying heights, jumping from armchair to armchair in the semi-darkness. dyl started digging his claws straight into my jeans halfway through the movie, and managed to skewer my big toe. for a good half a minute i just sat there watching the little trickle of blood, thanks to dyl's handiwork. all in all though, there were no big mishaps, and we could actually watch the movie in peace.

dyl is such a cute baby. he's got a black, grey and white striped coat, much like fluff's when she was younger, and the arch of his back and his adorable face just makes your heart melt, much like the depiction of puss in boots in shrek 2. you'll appreciate his purring and sucking up to you right up to the point where he decides to plunge his claw through your skin though.

yet, i digress. just hanging out with Boy last night was enough because it was time well spent. for the first time we went out on a proper sit-down dinner, a dramatic first, and if this post sounds boring, i'm sorry, but there really is nothing more that can be said to describe happiness - pure and simple.
