just spoke to renu this morning, and she was detailing to me the elaborate plans she and wal were planning for all our weddings, which brings to mind the first niggle: none of us are even close to getting married--

oh, hang on. maybe some are closer to wedding bells than others (not me), but still, to think that wal and renu were sitting in the chemistry cafe at about 4 in the morning talking about all of us and getting us married off in their heads was enough to make my stomach churn a little bit more than necessary.

i could wax lyrical about something like how i would love to get married but that's not something that's about to happen unless i get a proper job and am financially secure, but let's save that for a meet-the-parents session shall we? i'll just get on with the other highlights of my life.

woke up this morning with a crick in my neck, which didn't really please me a whole bunch. for the first time in a long time, i went downstairs with the full intention of getting a pain killer, popping it out of its little plastic bubble, and sending it on its merry way down my throat to ease the pain. ow, my neck.
