there seems to be little going on that is worth writing about these days. most times i end up reading in bed, propped up with a pillow, devouring the words in the hope that they will transport me to another world, another life, another existence. either that or i go for a wander in town, or bend my mind around crossword puzzles (kindly provided by faz). the weather has been disappointing for the start of summer -- most days being grey and drizzly. the only thing that seems to make me smile are my friends who understand, and Boy, who is just Boy. the other day after talking to the parents at home, i realised just how much i missed them, which just goes to show how deeply discontent silly people like us all are.

however, one spot of excitement is the exec dinner tonight at numjai's. the thought of good thai food, good company, and a balmy summer night (albeit a bit cold) all combine to offer the promise of an enjoyable night. unfortunately the camera is out of battery and so there will be no pictures i'm afraid. following that, a night of watching the rest play poker seems to (ahem) be on the cards.
