"WHY are you still here?" I hear you cry.Yes, for the umpteenth time, I have no internet connection at home, which is why I need to come all the way to waterloo whenever I want to make use of the wonders of the internet. You know, it actually is quite comfortable in these here seats...

Not much has happened today, although I have chucked in my contact lenses for the first time in a long time and am heading out to the South Bank and areas thereof to do some sightseeing with an old friend and a new one. Given that it is the start of the Days of Freedom (TM), I seem to find it hard to find things to fill my time with. It's almost as if the day is longer, which is highly ironic because I could have done with a few extra hours a couple of weeks ago.

Ah, I meant to mention that my trusty laptop managed to turn itself off today, and is currently not responding to stimuli. I panicked for a bit, then tried frantically to switch it on, but to no avail. It was, so to speak, all in vain. A niggling feeling tells me that my computer (and contents therein) have finally decided to cut their losses and throw in the towel for the last time. It has been on its last legs for a while now, but I just chose to let it trudge on and do its thing. In fact, like the calm before the storm, sometimes it even looked like it was going to take a turn for the better. Alas, the end was inevitable, and now it lies in a corner of my room, silenced by the a capella strains of Dong Bang Shin Ki's "Haroodal".

Will it ever light up again? I have no idea. In fact, as I mentioned earlier, this may be the end of the road for my trusty companion. That said, everything happens for a reason, and maybe with the passing of this old friend, another is waiting in the wings to enter my life.
